Description
The Transcend
30x Ultra Performance High-Speed CompactFlash Card - boosts data transfer
rate to an average of 4.5MB/sec. Independent tests of
Transcend's Ultra Performance 30x CompactFlash Cards have
achieved a read speed of up to 4.8 MB/sec and a write speed of
up to 4.0MB/sec (30 x 150KB/sec). This is 2.5 to 3.5 times faster than
other CompactFlash
cards available on the market which are on average 8-15X
(1.2MB/sec - 2.2MB/sec).
Digital cameras have a cycle time.
This is the time it takes to save the picture, before the next
picture can be taken. With the Transcend 30x Ultra Performance CompactFlash Card
this time is much shorter, therefore the user has less time to wait between
taking shots. With the rapid growth in digital image
resolution from 1M and 2M pixel CCD/CIS sensors to 4M and 6M
pixel CCD/CIS sensors, the data transfer rate to the
CompactFlash memory becomes a critical factor. The Download time to the computer via the camera or a card reader is
also increased.
NB. The Ultra
Performance 30x CompactFlash cards are available in capacities
of 128MB upwards. Cards below 128MB are an average
of 20x speed.
Compatibility
100% compatible and compliant with all digital
cameras that require Type I CompactFlash
Cards. Transcend are a member
of the CFA (CompactFlash Association). The CFA is a body
that sets out the design standards required for CompactFlash
cards.
This ensures that all members of the CFA develop and manufacture
cards that are 100% compatible and compliant with all digital
cameras that require Type I CompactFlash
Cards.
Reliability
The critical components
within a CompactFlash card are the Flash memory chips and the
Flash memory controller. Transcend cards are manufactured
using Samsung Flash memory chips and Samsung Flash controllers',
